COVID19
COVID19 Breakfast Room Service
While the Government is imposing social distancing we are having to operate our B and B slightly differently. We will only be letting our Ensuite room which is separate from the house for a minimum stay of 2 nights at weekends (Fri, Sat, Sun) and will be providing a room service breakfast until August 3rd, when we can offer guests a choice of having room service or eating in the breakfast room. I’m afraid we will be having minimum contact with our guests, because being named as a contact on “track and trace” would mean closing the business again for 2 weeks and cancelling other peoples’ bookings. We ask for your understanding at this critical time. We would love to give guests the full B and B experience that they are used to, but for your protection and ours this cannot be. Your room will have been deep cleaned and unoccupied for the previous 48 hours.
Breakfast can be chosen from the following:
Cartons of orange or apple juice
Yoghurt and a selection of breakfast cereals
Fresh melon or tinned grapefruit or prunes
Bread (brown or white) for you to toast in your room with butter, jam and marmalade in individual portions
PLUS
Either
Full Welsh breakfast: bacon, sausage, black pudding, mushrooms, tomato or baked beans, hash brown or fried bread or laverbread, free range egg (fried, poached, scrambled)
Quorn or Glamorgan sausages are available for vegetarians
Or
Smoked salmon with scrambled egg and oatcakes (vegetarians may like to substitute cheese for smoked salmon)
Or
Toasted waffles with maple syrup
Or
Cheese and mushroom omelette
If you require room service your breakfast will be delivered to outside your door at whatever time you choose. There will be plenty of bowls, plates, glasses, cutlery etc in the drawers in your room and we would be grateful if any rubbish and washing up can be left outside in the box provided.
Takeaway meals can be eaten at the outdoor table (weather permitting) or in your room until the pubs/restaurants are allowed to open. There is a Chinese, a fish and chip shop and the Rhydypennau Inn all doing takeaways between 2 and 2 ½ miles away and a Chinese Restaurant doing deliveries, and there are plenty of takeaways in Aberystwyth where you could eat on the sea front (beware of the seagulls!!) or bring them back here. Some pubs are now serving food (weather permitting) so check with me first. Also be aware that some of these are cash only so be sure you have plenty of money!!
